We're hiring an experienced Senior Mechanical Fitter to join a specialist machinery build team working on bespoke equipment used worldwide. You’ll be assembling a wide range of mechanical systems—from small components to full production lines—using engineering drawings and working closely with design, maintenance, and project teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Build complex mechanical machinery and sub-assemblies
- Fit motors, gearboxes, bearings, and shafts to high standards
- Work from technical drawings to complete full machine builds
- Modify and refurbish equipment as needed
- Support hydraulic and pneumatic system assembly
- Operate manual tools (mills, lathes, drills)
- Maintain a clean, efficient workshop and support continuous improvement
- Occasional overseas travel (1–3 times/year)
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong mechanical fitting or assembly experience
- Skilled with tools and workshop machinery
- Confident reading and working from engineering drawings
- Knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics a plus
