Contract Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias

We’re looking for 2x experienced Maintenance Engineers to join a busy manufacturing site in Scunthorpe on a contract basis.
The role will suit an engineer with a strong electrical bias, ideally with good PLC fault-finding and controls experience, who is also comfortable supporting mechanical maintenance when required.
The Role
- Electrical fault-finding and maintenance
- PLC fault-finding and controls
- Working with relays, contacts and associated electrical equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing machinery breakdowns
- Supporting mechanical maintenance activities
- Working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
- Responding to production breakdownsEnsuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
Shift Pattern
- 06:00–14:00
- 08:00–16:00
- 13:00–21:00
About You
- Strong electrical maintenance experience
- Industrial machinery fault-finding experience
- PLC fault-finding / controls experience
- Good understanding of electrical systems, relays and contacts
- Mechanical maintenance experience
- Practical pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge
- Manufacturing, FMCG, food production or similar experience
- Relevant engineering qualifications
Electrical competency is particularly important for this role, so you must be confident working safely with industrial electrical systems.
