The Role:
As a PLC Software Engineer, you’ll take ownership of a live TwinCAT 3 PLC platform used on industrial equipment across the UK. You’ll develop new software, improve existing control systems, commission equipment, fault-find on live systems and work closely with electrical, process and software engineers. This is a long-term product development role where you’ll see your software running on real-world industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop TwinCAT 3 Structured Text software
- Write PLC logic, sequences, alarms and interlocks
- Commission industrial control systems
- Diagnose and resolve faults remotely and on-site
- Support and improve existing PLC software
- Work closely with electrical, process and software engineers
- Produce and maintain technical documentation
