A growing technology business is looking for a Senior Product Compliance Engineer to take ownership of product compliance and certification across a range of technically advanced products. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management and Manufacturing to ensure products meet the required standards and regulations across international markets. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Product Compliance Engineer from an energy, electrical, power electronics, automotive, industrial or similarly regulated environment.

What You'll Do

  • Own product compliance and certification activities.
  • Advise engineering teams on applicable standards and regulations.
  • Work with certification bodies and external test houses.
  • Coordinate product certification and validation testing.
  • Monitor changes to legislation and industry standards.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into clear engineering requirements.
  • Support DVP / validation plans and compliance testing.
  • Manage technical compliance documentation and evidence.
  • Support requirements around:
    • Electrical safety
    • EMC
    • Environmental compliance
    • Grid-related requirements
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve compliance issues.
  • Improve internal compliance processes and tools.

What We're Looking For

  • 5 years' relevant industry experience.
  • Background in product compliance, certification or regulated engineering.
  • Experience with complex electrical/electronic products.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety, EMC and compliance requirements.
  • Experience coordinating certification or validation testing.
  • Good technical understanding of electrical systems and/or power electronics.
  • Experience working with external test houses or certification bodies.
  • Strong organisation and project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Energy, power electronics or grid-connected product experience.
  • Knowledge of international certification requirements.
  • Functional safety experience.
  • Experience with requirements management tools.
  • Experience working across international markets.
