Are you an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer looking for your next challenge? We're recruiting for a leading engineering manufacturer in Oxfordshire that designs and delivers bespoke industrial systems for customers across the energy, utilities and process industries. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on projects from concept through to commissioning as part of a collaborative engineering team.

What You'll Be Doing as an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer:

  • Designing and reviewing electrical and instrumentation drawings and documentation.
  • Producing technical specifications for electrical equipment.
  • Supporting equipment selection and working with suppliers.
  • Reviewing supplier documentation and ensuring compliance.
  • Attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
  • Supporting manufacturing, assembly and commissioning teams.
  • Resolving technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Working to ISO 9001 and relevant engineering standards.
  • Supporting hazardous area (ATEX/DSEAR/IECEx) projects where applicable.

What We're Looking For in an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer:

  • 5 years' experience in Electrical Design, EC&I or Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Experience producing electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Knowledge of control panels, MCCs, transformers or instrumentation systems.
  • Engineering qualification (BTEC, HNC/HND or Degree).
  • Experience within manufacturing, water treatment, utilities, process engineering, oil & gas or similar industries.

Desirable:

  • ATEX / DSEAR / IECEx experience
  • Instrument Loop Diagrams
  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Project Engineering experience
