Installation Technician
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing logistics service provider. We are looking for dedicated Installation Technicians to join our team in Manchester. This role offers a base pay of £30,000 plus a substantial overtime premium – you must be prepared to work up to two weekends per month.
Main Activities
- Deliver and position high‑value medical devices such as X‑ray systems
- Install and align system covers
- Liaise with project coordinators on job preparation
- Work closely with client project teams on site to ensure smooth project completion
- General driving and delivery duties as required within the UK and Europe
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Manual handling, carrying, and lifting of customer equipment, using specialist handling equipment to ensure safe delivery
- Complete delivery paperwork, timesheets and other documentation for each job
- Assist with Tech Centre duties as workload demands
- Prepare demo equipment – C‑Arms, incubators
- Undertake break‑fix, service and maintenance jobs (non‑medical)
- Other tasks as required
What You Bring
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Experience in mechanical or electrical installations
- Previous work as an Installation Technician or in a field‑based engineering environment (advantageous)
- Qualified driver with a clean licence
- Flexibility with hours, including readiness to work out of the home on a regular basis and to work up to two weekends per month – overtime will be paid
- Ability to complete required timesheets and paperwork accurately
- General knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programmes
- Experience of direct customer contact and strong communication skills
- Team‑player with a flexible and can‑do attitude, capable of working independently when needed
