We are urgently seeking an experienced Contract Quality Engineer to join a leading aerospace/manufacturing business on an initial 3-month contract. This role requires someone with proven experience completing FAIRs (AS9102) and working within an AS9100 environment. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality, supplier performance, and compliance with customer and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete FAIRs (AS9102) and support PPAP (AS9145) activities.
- Conduct internal and supplier audits in line with the Quality Management System.
- Lead root cause investigations using 8D methodologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet AS9100, NADCAP, and customer requirements.
- Manage supplier quality approvals, FAIR/PPAP submissions, and performance.
- Analyse quality KPIs and implement improvement actions.
- Ensure product compliance throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Proven background as a Quality Engineer within aerospace or precision manufacturing.
- Strong experience completing FAIRs (AS9102).
- Knowledge of AS9100, PPAP, APQP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using 8D.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
