We are looking for a Lead Control Software Engineer to develop the real-time software responsible for controlling the movement and behaviour of these robotic systems. This is a highly hands-on role combining robotics control, software development and technical leadership. Develop and optimise production-quality C and Python. Take control algorithms from research and prototype through to production. Deploy and validate software on physical robotic systems. Work with simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing. Contribute to software architecture and technical decisions. Develop automated testing and software release processes. Work closely with robotics, mechanical, AI and systems engineers. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers. Help establish engineering standards as the robotic platform scales. About YouWe are looking for a Lead Control Software Engineer with strong experience developing control software for complex robotic systems. You should have: Significant commercial experience in robotics control software. Strong hands-on C experience. Strong Python skills. Experience with real-time control systems. Experience with ROS2, real-time Linux and/or an RTOS. Experience taking algorithms from research/prototype into production. Experience with robotics simulation and HIL testing. Experience validating software on physical robots. Experience contributing to software architecture. Understanding of automated testing, CI/CD and software releases. Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring.
