Mechanical Fitter/Assembler in Lofthouse

Job Title: Mechanical Fitter Duration: 3-6 months Location: West Yorkshire Rate: £20-£24 per hour (Outside IR35) Overview We are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters / Machine Builders to support the assembly of complex equipment for a growing business in West Yorkshire. Working from engineering drawings and assembly information, you will build mechanical subassemblies and complete machines, including conveyor systems and equipment incorporating robotics. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience building machinery and resolving practical fitting issues. Key Responsibilities * Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies and complete machines from engineering drawings * Fit and align conveyor systems, mechanical mechanisms and automation equipment * Use hand and power tools to complete assembly work accurately and safely * Carry out drilling, tapping and minor component modifications where required * Identify and resolve mechanical fitting and assembly issues * Work closely with the build team to meet project deadlines and quality requirements Skills and Experience * Previous experience in mechanical fitting, machine building or assembly of industrial equipment * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Confident using hand tools, power tools and mechanical assembly techniques * Experience with bespoke machinery, conveyors or automated systems would be beneficial * Practical problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail To Apply Please send your up-to-date CV, availability and hourly rate expectations
