We are seeking an experienced QSHE Manager to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in Kidderminster. This is an excellent brand-new position, created to strengthen and develop the company’s QSHE function. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants more than simply maintaining existing systems; you’ll have the opportunity to really make the role your own, shape processes, drive improvements and build a strong QSHE culture across the business.

You’ll work closely with Operations, Engineering, Production, Projects and Senior Leadership, providing expert guidance and taking ownership of Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental and Compliance standards.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Driving continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, corrective actions and risk reduction across manufacturing operations.
  • Managing quality, health & safety, environmental and compliance requirements.
  • Developing and reviewing RAMS, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Leading investigations into incidents, accidents, near misses, complaints and non-conformances.
  • Conducting internal audits and supporting external and customer audits.
  • Monitoring supplier quality and performance.
  • Producing meaningful QSHE reports and providing insight to senior management.
  • Supporting and developing teams to embed a strong, proactive quality and safety culture.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, standards and ways of working across the organisation.

About You

We are looking for an experienced QSHE professional who has worked within an engineering or manufacturing environment and understands the practical challenges of operating within a production-led business. You’ll ideally have:

  • Proven experience in a QSHE, Quality, H&S or Compliance management role within engineering/manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of QMS and ISO standards, particularly ISO 9001.
  • A relevant qualification such as NEBOSH, CQA, CMQ/OE or ISO Auditor.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and investigative skills.
  • The confidence to influence and engage people at all levels of an organisation.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to continuous improvement.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
