Are you a Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering graduate, or an engineer with a year or two of industry experience, looking for a varied role where you'll gain exposure to the complete engineering project lifecycle? We're recruiting a Junior Project Engineer to join an established engineering business that designs, manufactures and supports bespoke industrial process equipment used across critical infrastructure and large-scale engineering projects throughout the UK and Europe.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive engineering team where you'll receive full product training whilst developing your skills in project engineering, mechanical and electrical design, commissioning, technical support and customer-facing engineering.

What You'll Be Doing as a Junior Project Engineer:

  • Supporting engineering projects from design through to installation and commissioning.
  • Coordinating installations with customers and contractors.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for bespoke equipment.
  • Assisting with commissioning and site visits across the UK (with occasional European travel).
  • Supporting quotations, engineering documentation and technical proposals.
  • Working closely with manufacturing, suppliers and customers to deliver successful projects.
  • Carrying out equipment inspections and supporting continuous product improvements.

What We're Looking For in a Junior Project Engineer:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering principles.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience with process equipment, industrial systems or water treatment.
  • AutoCAD or other CAD software.
  • Knowledge of PLCs or control systems.
