Are you a seasoned EHS professional ready to lead a site–wide safety and environmental strategy in a high–performance manufacturing environment? We re seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join a growing team in Hayes. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive cultural and operational change, implement best–in–class systems, and ensure compliance across a dynamic engineering and production site.
Key Responsibilities for the Environment, Health and Safety Manager:

Lead and develop the site s EHS Management System in compliance with UK regulations, corporate policy, and industry best practices

Ensure employee, contractor, and visitor compliance through effective training and communication strategies
-
Work closely with site leadership to promote a strong, proactive EHS culture and continuous improvement
-
Drive EHS performance through robust inspection, audit, and incident investigation programs
-
Oversee emergency planning, site security processes, and regulatory compliance reporting
-
Develop, implement, and track EHS–related KPIs, metrics, and corrective actions
-
Lead behavioural–based safety initiatives and engage employees at all levels through coaching, recognition, and safety campaigns
-
Maintain certifications (e.g., ISO14001, ISO45001), lead audits, and support renewals
-
Manage the injury reduction program and lead effective return–to–work processes
-
Evaluate and manage workplace hazards including PPE, ergonomics, confined space, fall protection, machine guarding, and chemical exposure

Deliver and tailor training programs for supervisors and team members on EHS responsibilities and hazard mitigation
What We\’re Looking For:

Ideally 10 years experience in an EHS management role, ideally in manufacturing or engineering environments

Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental regulations and compliance practices

Bachelor s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related technical field (preferred)

Practical experience with safety programs

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization

Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS systems and managing audits

Hands–on, detail–oriented, and proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure

Experience with ISO14001 and ISO45001 is highly desirable
