An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business operating within the aerospace and defence sector. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for driving production performance, leading a team on the shop floor, and ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Production Manager and wider operations team, you'll play a key role in achieving production targets while championing continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities for a Production Supervisor:
- Lead, coach and motivate a production team to achieve daily production targets.
- Monitor performance against safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity KPIs.
- Coordinate workflow and production schedules within your manufacturing area.
- Conduct daily team briefings and provide regular performance feedback.
- Identify training needs and support the development of team members.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and lean manufacturing activities.
- Investigate production issues, support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with Production Planning, Engineering and Operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Support the Production Manager and deputise when required.
