Field Service & Installation Engineer Are you a Field Service & Installation Engineer looking for a role with international travel, specialist scientific equipment and genuine technical variety?

We’re working with an innovative technology business that specialises in scientific instrumentation and advanced equipment, supplying highly specialised systems to academic and industrial customers worldwide.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Field Service & Installation Engineer to join their team in High Wycombe.

This is a hands-on role combining installation, commissioning, testing, fault finding and customer support, with regular opportunities to travel internationally.

The Role You’ll be responsible for

Installing and commissioning specialist scientific equipment at customer sites across the UK and internationally.

Carrying out testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

Diagnosing and resolving complex electro-mechanical faults.

Providing technical after-sales support and customer training.

Liaising directly with customers and supporting site preparation.

Supporting production with system build and final testing.

Reviewing and updating test documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Providing technical input to Sales and supporting R&D / New Product Development projects.

What We're Looking For We’re looking for a practical and technically minded engineer with:

A degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Experience fault finding electro-mechanical equipment.

Strong problem-solving skills and a self-motivated approach.

Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

A willingness to undertake regular UK and international travel.

Desirable Experience Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:
