We are working with a well-established and growing engineering manufacturing business seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a customer-facing role within a technical environment, where you will play a key part in managing client relationships, coordinating orders, and driving account growth.

The Role

  • You will take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring a high level of service throughout the full order lifecycle.
  • Responsibilities will include:
    • Managing day-to-day communication with customers and acting as their internal representative
    • Coordinating orders from placement through to delivery, working closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams
    • Monitoring schedules, resolving issues, and ensuring on-time delivery
    • Supporting commercial activities including quotations, cost tracking, and margin awareness
    • Preparing and presenting customer performance data and KPIs
    • Building strong, long-term relationships to support account growth and customer satisfaction
    • Collaborating cross-functionally to support new projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

  • Experience in account management or customer-facing roles within manufacturing or engineering
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of revenue and margin
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and handling complex order processes
  • Ideally some exposure to electronics, electro-mechanical, or technical products
