We are working with a well‑established and growing engineering manufacturing business seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their commercial team.

The Role

  • You will take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring a high level of service throughout the full order lifecycle.
  • Managing day‑to‑day communication with customers and acting as their internal representative.
  • Coordinating orders from placement through to delivery, working closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams.
  • Monitoring schedules, resolving issues, and ensuring on‑time delivery.
  • Supporting commercial activities including quotations, cost tracking, and margin awareness.
  • Preparing and presenting customer performance data and KPIs.
  • Building strong, long‑term relationships to support account growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborating cross‑functionally to support new projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • Experience in account management or customer‑facing roles within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of revenue and margin.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and handling complex order processes.
  • Ideally some exposure to electronics, electro‑mechanical, or technical products.
