We are looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer who can design, develop, and bring control systems to life both on CAD and in code. If you enjoy a role that blends hands-on electrical design with PLC programming, and you're excited by the idea of contributing to complex automated machinery, this is a great opportunity to join a supportive, forward-thinking engineering team.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Designing and developing electrical control systems for automated machinery
- Writing, testing, and modifying PLC code (Siemens, Rockwell, or similar)
- Producing detailed schematic drawings, bills of materials, and supporting documentation
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, production, service, and sales
- Supporting testing, commissioning, and product development activities
- Ensuring compliance with relevant safety and electrical standards
What You Bring:
- Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems
- Experience with EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical
- Confident programming and fault-finding on PLCs
- Good communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of EN60204, EN13849, and EMC compliance
- Familiarity with pneumatics and hydraulics
- Experience working with bespoke machinery or in a manufacturing environment
