Contract Project Manager Outside IR35

Job Title: Contract Project Manager – Electrical Installations & Utilities Infrastructure Location: South of UK – Various Locations / Flexible Site-Based & Remote Contract Type: Fixed-Term / Project-Based Duration: 6–12 months Outside IR35 with potential extension Rate: £450 per day About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Project Manager on a contract basis to oversee the delivery of electrical installation projects within the utilities sector, including water and wastewater infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on contractor who can manage multiple stakeholders, ensure high-quality delivery, and meet strict timelines. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage electrical installation projects from planning, design, and procurement through to construction, testing, and handover. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure project milestones are met. Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources, implementing risk mitigation where necessary. Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, health and safety standards, and client requirements. Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and reporting. Support project close-out, documentation, and lessons-learned processes. Requirements: Proven experience managing electrical installation projects in the utilities or infrastructure sector. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and installation standards. Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills. Experience managing multiple contractors and site-based teams. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline preferred. Project Management qualifications (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent) advantageous.
