What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be taking ownership of multiple engineering projects from start to finish — making sure everything runs smoothly, on time, and within budget. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll be coordinating teams, working closely with customers, and keeping everything on track commercially and technically.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Managing up to 4 projects at any one time
- Keeping projects on schedule and aligned with agreed deliverables
- Taking full ownership of project scope and customer requirements
- Making sure key milestones (including payments) are met
- Coordinating handovers between internal teams
Budgets & Resources
- Managing project budgets, costs, and margins
- Planning and allocating resources across design, build, electrical, software, and commissioning teams
- Making sure the right people are in the right place at the right time
Technical Oversight
- Running design reviews and keeping engineering standards high
- Overseeing purchasing to stay in line with budgets
- Supporting the build, controls, and software integration throughout the project
Customer Interaction
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients
- Keeping customers updated and managing expectations
- Handling changes, delays, or risks in a proactive way
Quality & Compliance
- Making sure everything meets quality standards and any relevant regulations
- Keeping documentation accurate and up to date

What They’re Looking For
Experience- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- Around 10 years’ experience managing engineering or automation projects
- Experience working with regulated industries (medical, healthcare, packaging, etc.)
- Strong background in managing budgets, timelines, and resources
- Comfortable using project planning tools
- Organised and good at juggling multiple priorities
