Location: London & Greater London travel required

Hours: Monday to Friday

MUST HAVE SMOKE CONTROL / SMOKE VENTILATION EXPERIENCE

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in smoke control and smoke ventilation systems. This is a hands-on role covering installation, testing and commissioning of smoke control systems across a variety of building projects throughout London and Greater London.

The Role

  • Install and commission smoke control systems
  • Commission AOVs, smoke dampers and ventilation systems
  • Test, balance and troubleshoot systems
  • Complete electrical wiring and power distribution
  • Integrate systems with BMS and fire alarm systems
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Identify and resolve technical faults
  • Ensure systems meet design and regulatory requirements
  • Complete commissioning, service and progress reports
  • Record airflow and system test results
  • Work alongside Project Managers, Engineers, contractors and consultants
  • Plan and prioritise work to meet project deadlines
  • Supervise and support an Engineer or Apprentice when required

About You

The successful Commissioning Engineer will have:

  • Essential: Smoke control / smoke ventilation experience
  • Experience commissioning AOVs, smoke dampers and ventilation systems
  • Strong electrical installation and commissioning experience
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
  • Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of relevant fire safety and building regulations
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London & Greater London
