SolidWorks Designer – Sheet Metal Experience I'm currently working with an engineering and manufacturing business that is looking for an experienced SolidWorks Designer with a strong background in sheet metal design and fabrication. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable draughtsman who can produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings and translate engineering requirements into practical, manufacturable designs. The Role * Produce detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using SolidWorks. * Develop and modify sheet metal designs and components. * Create accurate manufacturing drawings and technical documentation. * Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure designs are suitable for manufacture. * Interpret technical specifications and ensure drawings meet project requirements. * Amend existing designs and resolve drawing-related issues where required. Experience Required * Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks. * Proven experience producing both 2D and 3D engineering drawings. * Previous experience designing sheet metal components and fabricated products. * Understanding of manufacturing processes, including folding, bending and fabrication. * Ability to interpret technical drawings and produce accurate manufacturing documentation. * A practical, detail-oriented approach to engineering design.
