Are you a technical B2B salesperson who enjoys creating opportunities rather than waiting for them to land on your desk? This is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing UK market, build relationships with major organisations across transport, logistics and warehousing, and influence projects long before a purchase order is on the table.

We're looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager who can combine technical understanding with genuine business development ability — someone who enjoys getting out in front of customers, uncovering problems, influencing specifications and turning conversations into long-term commercial opportunities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build the market — develop and execute a sales strategy focused on growth across the UK transport and logistics sector.
  • Create opportunities — proactively identify prospects, projects and emerging areas where you can add value.
  • Build relationships — establish strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers at multiple levels of an organisation.
  • Influence specifications — engage early in the project lifecycle so that the right solutions are considered and specified from the outset.
  • Present & demonstrate — deliver technical presentations, seminars, site visits and hands-on demonstrations to customers and partners.
  • Develop the partner network — identify, establish and develop integration and installation partners who can support market growth.
  • Educate the market — help customers and partners understand technical requirements, applications, legislation, standards and the commercial benefits of the solutions available.
  • Own your pipeline — manage opportunities through Salesforce/CRM, provide accurate forecasting and maintain a clear view of prospects, projects and competitive activity.
  • Shape future opportunities — feed market intelligence back into the wider business to help identify new product and service opportunities.

What we’re looking for:

You’ll ideally have a background in technical B2B sales, with experience selling into transport, logistics, warehousing or automotive. Experience within areas such as industrial automation, system integration, building services, access control, safety solutions or other specification-led environments would be highly relevant.

Most importantly, you’ll be:

  • A proven new business developer with a strong hunter mentality.
  • Comfortable selling technically and commercially.
  • Confident influencing multiple stakeholders.
  • Curious, consultative and commercially driven.
  • Happy being out with customers across the UK.

If you’re a technical salesperson who wants the autonomy to build something and make a genuine impact on market growth, this could be the opportunity for you.
