ReeVR Talent are looking for a Stores Operative to join our client's fast-paced manufacturing business. As a Stores Operative, you will play a key function within the production process, responsible for ensuring smooth operations in both stores and despatch, maintaining efficient material handling, and supporting inventory management.
Key Responsibilities as the Stores Operative:
- Receive goods from suppliers and ensure they are correctly booked into the system.
- Put away stock in designated locations as per Stores processes and the company ERP system.
- Accurately reflect material movements in the ERP system (goods receipting, stock put-away, job picking, etc.) to ensure real-time stock transactions.
- Participate in regular cycle counts and stock-checking activities.
- Assist with inventory queries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Despatch Responsibilities:
- Package and crate machinery and spares for customers as required.
- Maintain appropriate levels of packing materials to meet despatch demands.
- Ensure all relevant despatch paperwork is completed and distributed accurately.
- Support the Assembly team during periods of absence or staff holidays.
- Use the company ERP system to reflect machine and spares despatches.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in stores, warehouse, or despatch operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and the ability to reflect accurate stock transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate across different functions.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to raise and resolve queries effectively.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage paperwork and documentation accurately.
