ReeVR Talent are looking for a Stores Operative to join our client's fast-paced manufacturing business. As a Stores Operative, you will play a key function within the production process, responsible for ensuring smooth operations in both stores and despatch, maintaining efficient material handling, and supporting inventory management.

Key Responsibilities as the Stores Operative:

  • Receive goods from suppliers and ensure they are correctly booked into the system.
  • Put away stock in designated locations as per Stores processes and the company ERP system.
  • Accurately reflect material movements in the ERP system (goods receipting, stock put-away, job picking, etc.) to ensure real-time stock transactions.
  • Participate in regular cycle counts and stock-checking activities.
  • Assist with inventory queries and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Despatch Responsibilities:

  • Package and crate machinery and spares for customers as required.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of packing materials to meet despatch demands.
  • Ensure all relevant despatch paperwork is completed and distributed accurately.
  • Support the Assembly team during periods of absence or staff holidays.
  • Use the company ERP system to reflect machine and spares despatches.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in stores, warehouse, or despatch operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and the ability to reflect accurate stock transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate across different functions.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to raise and resolve queries effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage paperwork and documentation accurately.
