Reeson Education are actively looking to recruit experienced Teaching Assistant(s) for Swimming support, for a large SEN client school based in Barking. They work with a broad range of SEN(D) needs from Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

- Approx 8-10 students per session
- Supporting Swimming teacher
- Barking based - good transport links plus on road unrestricted parking
Role details:
- Support students with special needs in and around the Swimming Pool
- Manage behaviours using positive strategies
- Supervise students getting in and out of pool and in changing areas
- Set up and tidy away swimming floats/resources
- Support the Swimming teacher in delivering sessions
- Encourage pupils to get in and out of Pool between sessions to ensure timetable runs on time
- Working as a team to ensure every child progresses and enjoys their swimming!!
The pool is warm. The kids absolutely love their swimming so this is a job for someone positive and fun-loving!
No previous SEN experience needed, some experience as a TA or a Sports Coach would be great!
