Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in the SK3 postcode. This is a fantastic full-time, long-term opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is confident working across the school supporting pupils with behaviour needs, ASD, and ADHD. The successful Teaching Assistant will work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, providing consistent support both in and out of the classroom. This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is proactive, patient, and confident managing behaviour while supporting learning and emotional regulation.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, assist with behaviour management strategies, and work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to ensure pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils across the school as a Teaching Assistant
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support as a Teaching Assistant
  • Assist pupils with behaviour, ASD, and ADHD as a Teaching Assistant
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation as a Teaching Assistant
  • Support learning activities planned by the class teacher as a Teaching Assistant
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and staff as a Teaching Assistant
  • Support pupils during lessons, transitions, and break times as a Teaching Assistant
  • Adapt support strategies to meet individual needs as a Teaching Assistant
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment as a Teaching Assistant
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies as a Teaching Assistant

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
  • Experience supporting behaviour, ASD, and ADHD
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach as a Teaching Assistant
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
