A Cover Supervisor is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London. This position can be part or full time and may be short term initially.
If appointed as a Cover Supervisor, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Covering different lessons in the absence of class teachers
- Managing pupil behaviour effectively and promoting positive behaviour
- Engaging with pupils in classes and ensuring the school's behaviour policies are upheld
- Holding a good understanding of ICT and carrying out basic administrative tasks
- Demonstrating a positive attitude and adapting to different situations effectively
The rates of pay for this position will be between £82.14 to £130 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
The School is an 'Outstanding' Secondary School & Sixth Form in the London Borough of Merton. It is a mixed, 11 - 18, non-selective school with a wide demographic of pupils and staff. 90% of students stay in education or employment after Key Stage 4. The site has its own dedicated SEN Support Centre and a variety of sports facilities. Ofsted have noted there is a positive culture of learning and a strong sense of community.
Requirements:
You will be considered if you're a recent Graduate or experienced Cover Supervisor. Applications are also welcome if you're a British trained Cover Supervisor or overseas trained Cover Supervisor. All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position:
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- UK Bachelor's Degree or an overseas equivalent
- Experience of working with children/teenagers or as a Cover Supervisor in UK schools
