A Behaviour Mentor is needed in a Coeducational Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London. This Behaviour Mentor position will be full time and long term, with scope to go permanent.
If appointed as a Behaviour Mentor your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Working alongside class teachers to ensure pupils are behaving positively in lessons
- Encouraging pupils to work through planned lessons
- Exhibiting a basic understanding of how to use ICT
- Conveying a positive attitude in regard to working as part of a team and using intuition to resolve different day to day issues around the school
The rates of pay for this Behaviour Mentor post will be between £82.14 to £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
The School: An 'Outstanding' Mixed Academy School & Sixth Form for pupils aged 11 to 19 years old, located in the London Borough of Wandsworth. A heavily subscribed school with a percentage of pupils applying to Russell Group universities. The proportion of pupils achieving this at the end of Year 11 is well above the national average. Extra-curricular activities also play a large part of the school's life, including music and sports events, as well as museum trips. In terms of academic achievements, the school produces results that placed it within the top 1% nationally for the fifth year running.
Requirements: You're encouraged to apply for this position if you're a recent Graduate or an experienced Behaviour Mentor. Applications are also welcome if you're a British trained Behaviour Mentor or overseas trained Behaviour Mentor. All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this role as a Behaviour Mentor:
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- UK Bachelor's Degree or an overseas equivalent
- Experience of working with children/teenagers or as a Behaviour Mentor in UK schools
