Focus: Academic support / SATs preparation
Reeson Education are currently recruiting for a Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Hanger Lane / Park Royal area. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and academically strong Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping pupils develop their understanding and achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will work primarily with small groups of Year 6 pupils, supporting them in the lead-up to their SATs. The role will focus on consolidating learning, addressing gaps in knowledge and helping pupils build confidence across the curriculum.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a strong grasp of both Maths and English
- Have previous experience working with primary-aged children
- Be confident supporting Year 6 pupils
- Be able to explain concepts clearly and adapt explanations to individual pupils
- Have experience supporting small groups or one-to-one
- Be enthusiastic about helping children make academic progress
- Have a positive, patient and encouraging approach
- Be confident working alongside the class teacher to support pupils' learning
About the role:
