The school caters for pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH and a variety of complex needs. As an Unqualified Humanities Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons to small classes, working closely with a supportive team to help pupils build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve their potential.
Unqualified Humanities Teacher Role Information
- Full-time, permanent role in a SEMH secondary provision.
- Salary: £22,000 – £32,000 per annum (experience dependent).

Unqualified Humanities Teacher Key Responsibilities
- Deliver creative and engaging Humanities and RE lessons to pupils with SEMH and additional needs.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning and emotional needs.
- Support pupils in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Manage behaviour in a positive, consistent, and supportive way.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and senior staff.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
Unqualified Humanities Teacher Requirements
- Degree or strong subject knowledge in Humanities/Religious Education.
- Previous experience working with young people, ideally with SEMH or SEND needs.
- A patient, resilient, and adaptable attitude.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
