About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide direct classroom support, reinforce routines, and apply a confident, no‑nonsense approach to help pupils stay focused and engaged. You'll support learning, reinforce behaviour expectations, and help drive consistency across the school day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Classroom Support: Provide firm, steady support during lessons to keep pupils focused and on task.
  • Behaviour Reinforcement: Apply consistent boundaries, structure, and expectations.
  • Learning Assistance: Support pupils with work set by the teacher and reinforce key learning points.
  • Routine Leadership: Maintain clear daily routines and transitions across the school day.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track pupil engagement and report directly to teaching staff.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and support staff to maintain consistent standards.

To succeed as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:

  • Experience in schools, SEN, sports, alternative provision, or structured youth settings.
  • A strong presence with calm, controlled, and confident communication.
  • The ability to manage challenging behaviour with authority and consistency.
  • Quick decision‑making and practical problem‑solving under pressure.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through us.
