About the Teaching Assistant Role:
- The Teaching Assistant will work across Key Stage 1, supporting children with a range of learning and communication needs.
- Provide 1:1 support as well as small group interventions in phonics, literacy, and numeracy.
- Assist in creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support individual education plans.
- Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning experience for all pupils.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
- Have prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
- Be confident supporting pupils with SEN, particularly in Key Stage 1.
- Be a team player who's proactive, nurturing, and dependable.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting children's well-being.
- Be calm, patient, and enthusiastic about learning and pupil development.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
- Two professional references covering the last three years.
- Right to work in the UK.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's education.
