Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: M24

Pay rates: From 13.69 TO 15.87 per hour

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, no weekends

Reeson Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and warm SEN Teaching Assistant to work with one of our partner primary schools in Middleton, Manchester.

The school are looking for a SEN teaching assistant to start as soon as possible who can commit on a long-term, full-time basis.

This SEN teaching assistant role will include supporting students with additional needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

The school offers a friendly and welcoming environment to all its staff and is looking for a new addition who embodies a positive outlook towards their work.

Teaching assistant responsibilities

  • Warm and friendly approach to teaching with A drive to improve outcomes for all pupils
  • Encouraging of pupils, motivating them to reach their optimum and Practice exceptional behaviour management in line with school policy
  • The ability to work as part of a team as a teaching assistant and abiding by the terms of the school\’s policies.
  • Great personable skills, working hard to build great relationships with both the students and staff in the school.
  • A highly motivated individual who works hard to create a fun learning environment

Teaching assistant qualifications/experience

  • Experience in supporting students with additional needs including autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies and familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum
  • The ability to collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to develop and implement individualises education plans (IEPs)
  • Minimum of 6 months UK experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role
  • Relevant qualifications preferred but not mandatory
