Are you passionate about providing dedicated support to children with special educational needs? A caring school in Wigan is urgently looking for committed SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistants to start ASAP.
This is a brilliant opportunity to work closely with individual pupils, helping them to overcome challenges and succeed in their learning journey.
Role Overview:
1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant role
Full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time
Immediate start available
Based in Wigan
Key Responsibilities:
Providing personalised, one-to-one support for children with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Supporting pupils with communication, behaviour, and social skills development
Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to meet each child\’s needs
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working 1:1 with children with SEN (preferred but not essential)
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA or SEN experience) beneficial but not essential
