Reeson Education are supporting an Outstanding secondary school who require an enthusiastic and ambitious Lead Teacher of Food Technology to join their successful Design & Technology Department on a one-year fixed-term contract.

About the Role

You will be responsible for promoting high standards of teaching and learning, driving student achievement and contributing to the continued success of the Design & Technology department. As part of the school's wider Teaching and Learning Team, you will work closely with senior leaders to support whole-school improvement initiatives and champion the effective use of digital technology in education.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Be a qualified Food Technology or Food & Nutrition specialist.
  • Have experience teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and ideally Key Stage 5.
  • Be ready to lead and develop a curriculum area within Design & Technology.
  • Demonstrate a passion for food education, nutritional science and global food cultures.
  • Deliver engaging, creative and challenging lessons that inspire students to achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to departmental and whole-school teaching and learning strategies.
  • Thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced school environment.
