Responsibilities as SEMH Teacher
- Deliver structured, engaging lessons tailored to SEMH learners.
- Maintain consistent routines, firm expectations, and a controlled learning environment.
- Apply disciplined strategies that reinforce self-control, focus, and resilience.
- Track academic, behavioural, and emotional development with precision.
- Work efficiently with teaching assistants, behaviour teams, leaders, and external professionals.
To succeed as an SEMH Teacher, you will need
- Proven experience teaching SEMH, KS3, alternative provision, or similar structured settings.
- A strong classroom presence with clear, direct communication.
- Confidence managing challenging behaviour with consistency and authority.
- Solid decision-making skills and a proactive, independent approach.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
