PSHE and Literacy Teacher – Independent Alternative Education School (Romford)
Are you a passionate teacher with a commitment to supporting young people in reaching their full potential? Our client, an independent alternative education school, is seeking a dedicated PSHE and Literacy Teacher to join their team.
The school caters to pupils in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, referred by schools or local authorities. With small class sizes (typically 8-12 students) and a nurturing approach, the school places a strong emphasis on pastoral care, mentoring, personal development, and work experience opportunities.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and accessible lessons in PSHE and Literacy to KS3 and KS4 students
- Inspire confidence and build positive relationships in a supportive, small-class environment
- Contribute to the personal, social, and academic development of pupils
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and pastoral support
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Literacy and/or PSHE at secondary level
