STEM Specialist School
Suitable for an experienced Science Technician or a Science Graduate with lab experience looking to develop a career in schools.
A Science Technician is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South London. This will be a part time long term position with scope to go permanent. The timetable will be 3 days a week for this post and the school is flexible on what days they can offer.
Responsibilities for this role will include but not be limited to:
- Assisting and preparing practical lessons alongside the Science Teachers
- Ensuring equipment and materials are safely stored when not in use
- Guiding staff and pupils in correct Health & Safety policies
- Maintaining and repairing all resources when required
- Keeping track of what is out of stock and making the necessary orders when needed
- Disposing of hazardous waste in a safe manner
The rates of pay for this position will be between £82.14 to £130 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

Requirements: You're welcome to apply if you're a recent Science Graduate or experienced Science Technician. Applications are also welcome if you're British trained or overseas trained Science Technician. All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position:
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- UK Science Degree or overseas equivalent
- COSHH trained/basic Health & Safety knowledge
- Experience in a lab setting or as a Science Technician in a UK school
