A Student Support Worker is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London.
This will be a full time long term Student Support Worker position with scope to go permanent.
Working hours for this Student Support Worker post will be 8am to 4pm.
Responsibilities
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and whole class intervention sessions
- Working alongside teachers to make sure targets on pupils EHCPs are being met
- Providing students with social, emotional and personal support when required
- Managing pupil behaviour effectively and following the academies behaviour policy
- Undertaking teaching sessions when needed
The rates of pay for this Student Support Worker position will be between £99.75 to £116.55 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

An 'Outstanding' Secondary School & Sixth Form in the London Borough of Merton. It is a mixed, 11-18, non-selective school with a wide demographic of pupils and staff. 90% of students stay in education or employment after Key Stage 4. The site has its own dedicated SEN Support Centre and a variety of sports facilities. Ofsted have noted there is a positive culture of learning and a strong sense of community.
Requirements
Applications are welcome if you're a Graduate or experienced Student Support Worker.
You're also welcome to apply if you're a British trained Student Support Worker or overseas trained Student Support Worker.
All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this post as a Student Support Worker:
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
- Experience of working with children/teenagers/young people from the ages of 11 to 18 or as a Student Support Worker in UK schools
