A specialist SEND college in Kingston upon Thames is looking for a proactive and creative Student Engagement Officer to join its growing team. As a Student Engagement Officer, you'll have the autonomy to develop exciting opportunities that encourage students to participate, develop confidence and engage with college life. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the college's enrichment and student engagement programme
  • Organising activities, events and residential trips
  • Championing student voice through Student Union initiatives and learner forums
  • Recruiting and supporting Student Ambassadors
  • Building an alumni network
  • Working alongside the Marketing Team to promote student life
  • Developing partnerships with local businesses, charities and organisations across Kingston upon Thames
  • Creating opportunities that connect students with the wider Kingston upon Thames community

The successful Student Engagement Officer will be:

  • Creative, organised and highly motivated
  • Confident working independently with a high level of autonomy
  • Passionate about improving opportunities for young adults with SEND
  • An excellent communicator who enjoys building relationships
  • Familiar with the Kingston upon Thames area and enthusiastic about developing links with local employers, businesses and community organisations
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and bringing new ideas to life

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous, as the Student Engagement Officer will regularly engage with organisations across Kingston upon Thames and surrounding areas. However, this is not essential.

This isn't a traditional office-based role. As a Student Engagement Officer, you'll have the freedom to introduce new ideas, shape the student experience and become a key ambassador for the college within Kingston upon Thames.
