We are recruiting a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join an Outstanding specialist college in Kingston. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you'll support young people aged 16+ as they prepare for adulthood, helping them develop the communication, independence and life skills needed for education, employment and everyday life.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centred Speech and Language Therapy interventions.
  • Assess communication and eating and drinking needs.
  • Support learners using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
  • Independently manage your own clinical caseload.
  • Train and coach teaching and support staff.
  • Work alongside families and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for every learner.
  • Promote communication, independence and inclusion across the college.

We're looking for:

  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
  • Knowledge of AAC and eating and drinking assessment.
  • A collaborative, proactive and person-centred approach to therapy.
