Primary Teaching Assistant (SEN Support – Year 5)

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a friendly and inclusive primary school in Hounslow.

This role is ideal for someone who is patient, proactive, and passionate about helping children with additional needs to achieve their full potential in a supportive learning environment.

The Role:

Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for a Year 5 pupil with SEN

Support learning across the curriculum, adapting tasks as needed

Assist with emotional regulation, confidence-building, and social development

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow individual education plans

Promote independence while ensuring consistent support

Support behaviour and positive engagement in learning

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties)

A calm, patient, and nurturing approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A commitment to inclusive education

Relevant TA or SEN qualifications are desirable but not essential
