As the school's Data Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining the school's data systems, ensuring accurate and meaningful information supports strategic decision-making across the Academy. You will coordinate their MIS, oversee statutory data returns, and provide high-quality analysis to inform teaching, learning and operational planning.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, teaching staff, support colleagues and external agencies, you will ensure that our data systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with our commitment to educational excellence. They are seeking someone with technical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills, who can confidently manage systems and support colleagues in making the best use of data.
The successful Data Officer must:
- Have significant school experience
- Have previous experience managing school MIS systems (e.g. Arbor)
- Bring strong data analysis and reporting skills (proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets essential)
- Have excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Understand GDPR and the importance of data confidentiality and integrity
- Collaborate effectively with staff, governors, and external partners
