The Role
As Digital Lead Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging computing lessons across the primary age range.
- Lead the development and improvement of the school's computing curriculum.
- Promote effective use of digital devices and technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Support colleagues in developing their confidence and skills in computing and digital learning.
- Monitor curriculum standards, assess pupil progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Champion online safety, digital literacy and the responsible use of technology.
- Keep up to date with developments in computing education and educational technology.
- Work collaboratively with the wider staff team to improve outcomes for pupils.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a Digital Lead Teacher who:
- Holds QTS and has experience teaching within a primary school.
- Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for computing.
- Can deliver engaging lessons that develop pupils' digital skills.
- Has the confidence to lead curriculum development and support other teachers.
- Understands online safety and responsible technology use.
- Can evaluate provision, use assessment effectively and identify priorities for development.
- Is committed to inclusive education and helping every pupil succeed.
