A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking to appoint a committed Learning Support Assistant to join its team from September. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with pupils who need additional support to access learning, develop independence and build confidence. What Will You Be Doing?
- Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Deliver targeted interventions to develop literacy, numeracy and communication
- Work one-to-one with pupils who require consistent support
- Help children develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
- Adapt activities to ensure pupils can access the curriculum
- Build strong and positive relationships with children and colleagues
- Work closely with teachers and the school's SEN team
The successful Learning Support Assistant will play an important part in helping pupils overcome barriers and make meaningful progress.
The Person We're Looking For
The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is patient, proactive and genuinely committed to helping children succeed. Experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH or other SEND would be highly beneficial. However, the school will also consider enthusiastic graduates, tutors, youth workers and other candidates with relevant transferable experience.
