Overview
Senior Physics Technician is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London. The post is for an experienced Physics Technician or Senior Physics Technician looking to progress their career.
The school is an Ofsted rated \’Outstanding\’ Free School & Sixth Form located in the London Borough of Wandsworth, opened in 2012 and serving pupils aged 11 to 18.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside Science Teachers to plan and carry out practical lessons.
- Train other Science Technicians to ensure they are following correct safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lab equipment.
Hours & Contract
Full-time and permanent contract. Term Time Only (39 weeks). Working hours are 8:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week).
Salary
Between £35,200 and £37,423, pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience.
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- UK Bachelors Degree in Science.
- Clear and updated Enhanced DBS.
- First Aid qualification or relevant training.
- Health & Safety qualification or relevant training.
- Experience as a Physics Technician or Senior Physics Technician in UK schools.
- British-trained or overseas-trained Senior Physics Technician considered.
