We are looking for an experienced and supportive SEND Outreach tutor (with QTS) to work with young people who require additional learning and emotional support. This is a rewarding role based in Corby, North Northamptonshire that involves helping to create a positive and responsive learning environment across both home and school settings in the Corby area. Some planning (alongside school staff) and regular feedback to parents and wider professionals will be part of the role.
SEND Outreach Tutor Role:Based in Corby, this part-time position involves delivering a tailored curriculum in collaboration with teachers and other support mentors if required. Strong behaviour-support and relationship-building skills are essential.
- Provide sessions either in school or at home, depending on the student’s needs
- Deliver and adapt curriculum content in partnership with teaching staff
- Build trust and emotional safety by working at the student’s pace
- Use positive, student-centred approaches to support engagement
- Support independence while offering guidance when needed
- Identify potential sensory or emotional challenges and respond appropriately
- Encourage communication, provide processing time, and offer flexible choices
