We are looking for a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Post-16 provision in Harrow on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis starting this September. This is an inclusive setting that values equality and diversity, providing personalised education for young adults aged 18-24 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The provision is dedicated to supporting learners with a range of special educational needs to develop independence, confidence, and essential life skills.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students to thrive through tailored support both inside and outside the classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of SEN
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Help implement individual learning plans and EHCP targets
  • Promote independence and life skills development
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
