A well-regarded primary school in Ealing is seeking a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated ASD provision. The unit supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition who thrive in a structured, nurturing environment, while also accessing mainstream learning where appropriate.

This role would suit an experienced SEN professional who is passionate about autism support and committed to helping children develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
About the Role:
Working within a specialist ASD unit supporting pupils across the primary age range
Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual needs
Supporting pupils\’ communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
Implementing autism-informed strategies, including visual timetables, sensory regulation tools, and structured routines
Collaborating closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals
Encouraging independence, engagement, and positive outcomes for pupils
About You:
Proven experience supporting children with ASD in a school or specialist setting
Strong understanding of autism-specific approaches and behaviour support strategies
Calm, patient, and resilient, with a child-centred approach
Confident in building positive relationships with pupils and staff
SEN qualifications or relevant training are desirable but not essential
