Location: Bury, Whitefield M45

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)

Pay Rate: £13.69 to £15.83 per hour

Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced HLTA to support a Year 6 class in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the M45 area of Bury. This full-time, long-term HLTA position is ideal for someone ready to take on more responsibility while still supporting class teaching and pupil development. The successful HLTA will be a key part of the Year 6 team, helping to deliver a smooth, structured, and inspiring curriculum in preparation for SATs. This role starts ASAP and may lead to a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

About the HLTA Role

  • The HLTA will support the class teacher and cover lessons when required.
  • The HLTA will support classroom routines, planning support where necessary and assessing pupil progress.
  • The HLTA will work collaboratively with teachers, senior leaders, and external professionals.

The Ideal HLTA Will

  • Have recent experience supporting in upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
  • Be confident supporting or delivering lessons in the teacher's absence.
  • Be a proactive, professional, and committed HLTA.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.

Requirements for the HLTA

  • Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
  • Two references covering the last two years.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Availability for full-time, long-term work as a HLTA.
