Primary Teacher

A new SEN school in Bromley are looking to add to their team for an exciting new expansion that you could be a part of, in a mixed KS1-KS2 class. if you are a dedicated SEN teacher, or a mainstream teacher looking to take the exciting step into teaching students with special educational needs.

The Primary Teacher Job

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Primary Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a Special Educational Needs, Primary Teacher for a vibrant primary school in Bromley, specialising in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) in KS1/2 classes.

In this rewarding Primary Teacher role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student. Your expertise as an Primary Teacher will help develop individualised learning plans that promote engagement, independence, and social skills.

The School

The successful Primary Teacher applicant would be joining an outstanding SEN school in Bromley for children with severe learning difficulties. This SEN school offers provision for pupils from 4-11 years, who have mild to complex learning differences.

Primary Teacher Key Responsibilities– Develop and implement personalised educational programs based on an EYFS curriculum that has a heavy emphasis on sensory needs and learning through play. – Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and educational psychologists.- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as the primary teacher in the classroom.- Engage with parents and caregivers to support student development at home and in school.

– Work with and lead a support team within the classroom

Primary Teacher Qualifications– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.- Strong knowledge of ASD and SLD.- Experience working in a primary education setting is preferred.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
